Connection of Communication Cables
Communication interface RS485/LAN of GPE4890J locate at the front panel of the system. RS485/LAN is communication port, with function of communication with the host.
RS232 communication mode:
a. Connect one end of communication cable to RS232 at front panel of GPE4890J.
b. Connect the other end of communication cable to RS232 on host. Pin1 linked to 232RX on host, pin4 linked to 232TX on host.
RS485 communication mode:
a. Connect one end of communication cable to RS485 at front panel of GPE4890J.
b. Connect the other end of communication cable to RS485 on host, RS485 A, B line of GPE4890J respectively corresponding with RS485 A, B line of host.
Ethernet communication mode:
a. Connect one end of communication cable to LAN at front panel of GPE4890J.
b. Connect the other end of communication cable to Ethernet port of host (directly connect to the PC with Ethernet cross wires).
c. Or connect the system to switch through common direct network cable. The host communicate with the system through direct network cable and router.
